OSCAR J. EVANS RETURNS TO THE BACKYARD STAGE AS HOA DELAYS SEASON FINALE

For weeks, the company formerly associated with the Trillberry Civic Theater has kept its newest production almost completely under wraps.

Now operating as Trillberry Players and currently undergoing what representatives are calling a rebranding, the company is preparing to unveil Oscar J. Evans’ A Midsummery Nighty Dream, a re-invented backyard theatrical event.

The production marks Evans’ first major theatrical undertaking since his highly discussed departure from the Trillberry Civic Theater. Details surrounding that departure remain unclear, disputed, and reportedly buried beneath several strongly worded emails, one unfinished resignation letter, and a missing key to the costume closet.

Since leaving the Civic Theater, Evans has quietly gathered a company of actors, neighbors, volunteers, and people who may have simply wandered into the wrong backyard. Together, they have reportedly created a new version of Shakespeare’s classic featuring music, spectacle, questionable scenery, and at least one donkey.

The Trillberry Players had been expected to release the show’s two-act season finale this week. However, sources close to the production now claim that continued interference from the local Homeowners Association has caused several unexpected setbacks.

The exact nature of the HOA’s complaints remains unknown, although rumors include excessive theatrical lighting, unauthorized shrubbery, noise after 8:30 p.m., improper use of a residential birdbath as a dramatic prop, and a donkey that may not be listed on the lease.

Rather than cancel the performance, the company has announced that the complete backyard production will now be presented as a livestream event. The change will delay the finale by approximately one week while the Players prepare the backyard, the broadcast equipment, and several cast members who were reportedly unaware the production was still happening.

Evans has assured audiences that the delay will be worth it.

In the meantime, he is encouraging everyone in Trillberry to watch Stage Whispers, the newest program on TrillTube, starring Evans and DORAIN.

On the show, the two outspoken hosts tackle modern art, movies, theater, television, commercials, and anything else unfortunate enough to be placed in front of them. DORAIN is expected to offer enthusiasm and emotional support, while Evans is expected to explain why everyone involved should have tried harder.

Stage Whispers will premiere on TrillTube while audiences await the final episodes of Trillberry USA: Season One, Part One.
